The four pillars
Crooked teeth are often the sign of habits rather than the cause: breathing through the mouth, the tongue resting low instead of on the palate, or swallowing the wrong way. These habits keep the jaws narrow, so the teeth lack space.
- Nasal breathingbreathing quietly through the nose, day and night.
- Tongue posturethe tongue resting on the palate, supporting the arches.
- Muscle balancerelaxed lips and cheeks, less strain on the jaws.
- A stable resulttreating the cause helps the teeth stay in place.

Few signs
Your answers show few signs of habits that affect the teeth and jaws. Keep up regular check-ups every six months.
Some signs worth checking
Some answers point to habits that can, over time, narrow the jaws or crowd the teeth. A check-up will tell whether anything needs to be done.
Several signs: a check-up is recommended
Several answers point to habits such as mouth breathing or a low tongue posture. Treated early, they are often easier to correct. We recommend a consultation.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make an appointment?
Call us or send a message on WhatsApp; the buttons are at the top and bottom of every page.
At what age should my child first see a dentist?
Around the first birthday, or when the first teeth appear. Early visits prevent problems and help children feel at ease.
How often should I have a check-up?
Usually every six months. We will tell you if you need to come more often.
What are "myofunctional habits", and why do they make teeth crooked?
They are everyday habits such as breathing through the mouth, pushing the tongue between the teeth or swallowing the wrong way. When the tongue does not rest on the palate, the upper jaw stays narrow and the teeth lack space. Correcting these habits lets the jaws and teeth develop better.
Can adults have Myobrace or myofunctional therapy?
Absolutely! Adults can benefit from both Myofunctional Therapy and, in selected cases, Myobrace treatment.
Myofunctional therapy helps retrain incorrect oral habits, improve tongue posture, swallowing patterns, lip seal and breathing habits.
Every adult deserves an individualized assessment because it's never too late to work towards better oral function!
